The best time to take Danté for a walk...
Welcome to project 365. This writer of ghost stories, mother of two, and wife to the Professor, aka "Ghost Hunk" (for 18 years), finds inspiration everyday, even if she sometimes forgets. So for the next year, I will document these little epiphanies, whether it's a bug on the windshield or some brilliant, breathless moment in this crazy life or something in between.
With the project complete, check out some new adventures:

Day 147
What about a crazy red-headed woman with a black dog taking pictures of the lamest things...is that suspicious? (Just to be clear, the woman, not the dog, is taking the pictures.) Better watch my step...

Day 145
Yeah, it's that kind of night. Ghost Daughter has a cold and a rocking chair on the porch is just right. Now if were only on OUR porch...

Day 144
Time out for a brief celebration. My colleague Porsha A. is about to become Porsha M., so we had a little pre-wedding celebration in the Mac Lab. Yes, there were beer nuts...but no beer. Oh well...

Day141
This rig has been on campus for the last few weeks and I still don't know who drives it. Some faculty member has another kind of passion.

Day140
Storm clouds kept us on shore today, but it was an awesome weekend. Love you all, my friends! Thanks for putting up with me...

Day 139
Howdy, Tex
This little guy was found near death alongside a highway in Texas. Thankfully, friends of a friend of a friend rescued him and brought him to Florida where he found a forever home with my best friend, Lisa.
Day 138
So I didn't post this one before midnight, but I have the best reason...partying with my sister from another mother!

Day 137
Today's little chore: take down the hem of Ghost Hunk's trousers. Yes, my 6'1 hunk of man needs a little more break in his pant leg...meanwhile I'm cutting 6 inches off my own! We are almost a foot apart in height, and frankly, my dears, that's a perfect fit.

Day 134
It's SOCCER TIME again!
Our local YMCA is just down the road from our house, and today I signed Ghost Daughter up for another season of soccer. Now...we have to get new cleats, new shorts, and maybe a new soccer ball!

Day 133
Via the iPhone: Ghost Daughter brought a new friend to tea...love those little moments. I wonder if ponies like caramel milk teas.

Day 130
It really is that time of year again. Tomorrow is the first day of school. Ghost Son has two backpacks to bustle off to high school and Ghost Daughter has hers stuffed with all the essentials as well. Ghost Son is excited and nervous and wishing there was a little more summer, but he is proud of the summer homework he did and looking forward to leaping off on the right foot for Freshman year. Ghost Daughter is just looking forward to being busy again. And mama...wishes they wouldn't grow up so darn fast.

Day 128
Courtesy of the iPhone: Yikes! Let High School begin...! It was open house and Ghost Son got to see all of his teachers and classrooms...and the mascot. A bit overwhelming perhaps.

Day 126
When I went to my herb garden for a handful of basil, tonight, I discovered a visitor. Unfortunately, my camera is giving me fits again, and this is the best shot I could get of the little dude. Ack! ((mama don't do spiders!))

Day 124
(Courtesy of my iPhone): Anyone who knows me know that I am NOT a bug person. ((shudder)) But there are some critters you just can't help but be impressed with. This praying mantis was hanging around outside Hobby Lobby today as I walked to my car. The brown camouflage doesn't quite match the yellow concrete of the light post, but he is awe-inspiring, nonetheless.

Day 123
Ghost Son is re-discovering his passion and filling a sketch book with fabulous new work. Keep an eye out for the launch of his website soon.

Day 121
Baby dragon time...that's what we call anoles, anyway. I wish I had the good camera with me. Oh well. This handsome dude greeted me and a female of his own species this morning. Baby dragonette was hanging around at the base of this lamp post, making him work for it...
