Welcome to project 365. This writer of ghost stories, mother of two, and wife to the Professor, aka "Ghost Hunk" (for 18 years), finds inspiration everyday, even if she sometimes forgets. So for the next year, I will document these little epiphanies, whether it's a bug on the windshield or some brilliant, breathless moment in this crazy life or something in between.

Day 341

My first art show entry.  I came away with no prize, but I learned a lot and got some good feedback.   Who knows? I might try again.  Of course, I really think my friend Kellie should have won the whole deal!

Day 330

The amazing illustrator, Elizabeth Dulemba (Don't you LOVE her hair!), Ghost Girl (me), and JRo Brown (my #wipmadness buddy and roommate for the weekend). The #wipmadness gals are going to have a couple of kick-ass contracts by the end of the year...

Day 329

Kirby Larson & Me
One of my favorite people, author of HATTIE BIG SKY and many more wonderful books, Kirby Larson shared her experiences and techniques with us in several amazing sessions at the Spring Mingle.  My favorite moments were chatting at the bar with her and Elizabeth Dulemba about our work, our inspirations, and all the fun things that fill our lives.  Oh, I just wish I could take these wonderful ladies home with me for a while!

Day 265

This holiday card arrived in the post today, all the way from Japan.  A very dear editing client of mine sent it to me.  Every inch of it is so lovely, right down to the beautiful writing.

Day 261

A little Street Art...

Ghost Hunk and I had an appointment in Macon today, and we passed this little jewel on the way.

Day 257

When the computer and television are off limits, Ghost Daughter has no problem hitting the books...in all kinds of ways!  Yes, she reads them, but these have become shelter for all kinds of creatures, mostly LPS critters.

Day 213

Nerd that I am...I'm always feeding my imagination.  Thanks, Willy! (Psst! Does that make me a cannibal?)

Day 211 — Happy Halloween!

Ghost Daughter decided to be an Angel Bunny for Halloween this year.  A tribute to her recently deceased and forever beloved pet who left us in March.  What an interesting kid...

Day 209

Our neighbor, the retired Marine, brought out some of his old conquests for Halloween...

Day 207

My birthday present from my sister arrived exactly one week early. I haven't opened it yet, but already I feel extra special.  My favorite part is my sister's beautiful artwork and the heartwarming message that truly makes me feel as though the day I was born is something important.  I love you, big sis!

Day 195

Lisa Yee and Lin Oliver hamming it up with a peep!  The SCBWI Souther Breeze WIK was fabulous.  Thank you, ladies, for keeping the fires burning!

Day 184

One corner of my writing desk dressed with a few favorites.  My beloved horse and Ghost Son as a 2-year-old!  Of course there is Tigger.  And hanging from the lamp, a very special heart pouch filled with precious stones.  It was made by my third-grade Waldorf students especially for me when I had to leave my post early.  They made me an extraordinary certificate as well.  Very dear, indeed.  I never forget them.

Day 178

Ghost Girl does her own thing with her message board, too.  Ssssshhh...she's not really a 4th-grader...she is the superhero Kestrel!  Yeah, so much for chores on the board.

Day 175

Ghost Son is officially a teenager.  An interesting, eclectic, artistic teenager.  This is his new wall of fame—the art work and stencils that he has made over the last few months.  What a cool kid!  I can't wait to see what he does next.
