Welcome to project 365. This writer of ghost stories, mother of two, and wife to the Professor, aka "Ghost Hunk" (for 18 years), finds inspiration everyday, even if she sometimes forgets. So for the next year, I will document these little epiphanies, whether it's a bug on the windshield or some brilliant, breathless moment in this crazy life or something in between.

Day 273

Can you imagine opening this on Christmas morning?

Actually, this is the new office/model home leading into our subdivision, decorated for the holidays.

Day 271

And the Breakfast Nook now looks cozy.  All it needs is a window treatment. (That sounds like some sort of punishment, doesn't it?!)

Day 268

Still figuring out the new camera.  This shot was set on "Creative Auto" which allows me to adjust some functions but uses auto focus.  Of course this model would make any photo look great!

Day 266

Christmas from Ghost Hunk!  Yes!  My Christmas wish came true!  Now I just have to figure out how to operate it.  Two of the most amazing gifts ever...something to satisfy the photo nut in me and affirmation of my writing life. Thank you, my love.  That kind of support means more than I can say...

Day 265

This holiday card arrived in the post today, all the way from Japan.  A very dear editing client of mine sent it to me.  Every inch of it is so lovely, right down to the beautiful writing.

Day 264

Ghost Hunk's project.  For the last year and a half, we have stumbled through a maze of junk in the garage, some of it tossed into any old box in the last mad dash move.  Ghost Hunk spent the last two days cleaning, organizing, and putting up shelves.  Bravo!

Day 263

My writing buddies... Danté and Peanut like to chill in my writing den while I work.  I kind of like it too!

Day 262

The Man Cave...II

Part one of Ghost Hunk's home improvement bash for Christmas break—Ghost Son's lair.  He re-configured the loft bed to use the space underneath and set the son up with his own amazing man cave.

Day 261

A little Street Art...

Ghost Hunk and I had an appointment in Macon today, and we passed this little jewel on the way.

Day 260

There's no jelly in this belly!  This little Santa is stuffed with Hershey Hugs...and he's gonna be giving a lot of Christmas hugs over the next couple of days...

Day 257

When the computer and television are off limits, Ghost Daughter has no problem hitting the books...in all kinds of ways!  Yes, she reads them, but these have become shelter for all kinds of creatures, mostly LPS critters.

Day 255

From the iPhone:  Yes, it is the holiday season, all full of wonder...I wonder what UPS guy handled this package.  Good thing it wasn't a present for anyone in this house.  This is exactly how I found it when I got home today.

Day 254

Hard to believe that Ghost Son has been on our tree every year for the last 14 years...

Day 249

Sarracenia
A beautifully carnivorous flower, also known as the pitcher plant, it drowns its victims before digesting them. Oh, what fun!

Day 245

Ivan

Today we made a trip up to Zoo Atlanta where we met the grand old man, Ivan.  Our library has a wonderful program:  We check out a video about the history of the zoo, which is amazing, and when we return it, we get 4 free tickets to the zoo.  That is no small favor...$20+ each!

With the camera a little fritzy, I will post a few highlights from our trip throughout the week.

Day 242

With the Nikon on the blink, my iPhone camera will have to do today.  Keeping with the holiday spirit, a little holly outside Hartnett Hall on a frosty 30º morning in southwest Georgia.
