When I went to my herb garden for a handful of basil, tonight, I discovered a visitor. Unfortunately, my camera is giving me fits again, and this is the best shot I could get of the little dude. Ack! ((mama don't do spiders!))

(Courtesy of my iPhone): Anyone who knows me know that I am NOT a bug person. ((shudder)) But there are some critters you just can't help but be impressed with. This praying mantis was hanging around outside Hobby Lobby today as I walked to my car. The brown camouflage doesn't quite match the yellow concrete of the light post, but he is awe-inspiring, nonetheless.

Baby dragon time...that's what we call anoles, anyway. I wish I had the good camera with me. Oh well. This handsome dude greeted me and a female of his own species this morning. Baby dragonette was hanging around at the base of this lamp post, making him work for it...
