From the iPhone: This seems a little ironic.
Welcome to project 365. This writer of ghost stories, mother of two, and wife to the Professor, aka "Ghost Hunk" (for 18 years), finds inspiration everyday, even if she sometimes forgets. So for the next year, I will document these little epiphanies, whether it's a bug on the windshield or some brilliant, breathless moment in this crazy life or something in between.
With the project complete, check out some new adventures:

A little Street Art...
Ghost Hunk and I had an appointment in Macon today, and we passed this little jewel on the way.

Day 205
Boo!
This is no masterpiece or anything, but the interesting thing about this photo is the color. It is literally the color of blood. My blood. How à propos for this time of year. I covered the flash with my finger, so the red is actually the light filtered through my own flesh...and blood. Kinda creepy!

Day 201
| Freaky Dead Children at Peace |
Ever since Ghost Son and I went on that first ghost tour in Wilmington, NC, whenever I see one of these signs I think "freaky dead children." It was a joke that our guide shared with us. As I approached Peace Hall on campus today, I noticed this one and could not resist. Ghost Son, this one's for you...

Day 196
DANTE'S RED RUBBER ELEPHANT
Anyone with kids is probably familiar with Rosemary Wells' wonderful MAX books. Our dear Danté (the uber-dog) had a problem with the average squeak toy—it was history in about 10 minutes. Nothing but shreds of latex and a lonely naked squeaker. So we finally found this awesome alternative at Petsmart a couple of years ago, and it is still going strong. It's his favorite toy. Just like Max's red rubber elephant, it can end up anywhere. Tonight, he was hiding between the couch and the little end table. What would we do without Danté's red rubber elephant?

Day 169
It would appear that this particular pine in neither ours nor theirs. It sits squarely between our properties, so the fence must go...through it?

Day 168
The developers of our neighborhood are working on a new project at the edge of our addition, a gated community they call "the Sanctuary." Instead of the dingy yellow hydrants that line our streets, they get fancy red ones. Yeah...we are now just the rabble.

Day 164
Ghost Son likes to pose my artist's figure when I'm not looking. I think he's in the middle of "YMCA" on this one...

Day 151
Look closely...the grays are taking over! Egads! Time to take action. This is the "before." Tomorrow you'll get the "after."

Day 147
What about a crazy red-headed woman with a black dog taking pictures of the lamest things...is that suspicious? (Just to be clear, the woman, not the dog, is taking the pictures.) Better watch my step...

Day141
This rig has been on campus for the last few weeks and I still don't know who drives it. Some faculty member has another kind of passion.

Day 118
HAUNTED PHOTO?
I'm cheating a little today. It's been hectic, so I'm sliding in another photo from the NC trip. The Latimer house was one stop on our ghost tour, said to be haunted by at least one spirit (named Impy). The story of Mrs. Latimer and her lost children was so interesting that we returned the next morning for an official tour of the house. Who knows why my photo fogged up this way. It was a beautiful (hot) day. Perhaps it was Mrs. Latimer welcoming us to the house. Then again, four of her eight children died in that house before they could reach adulthood. Perhaps it is one of them stopping to pose for the camera...
